According to the Associated Press Jimmy Carter says the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to President Barack Obama is a "bold statement of international support for his vision and commitment." Well, if'n ole Jimmah sez so it mus' be, ain't that right, Lem?

Update:
It appears Obama will accept the Prize (with all due humility, of course) in recognition of the goals he has set set for the United States and the world.
May I suggest these other prestigious awards also richly deserved:
- The Elmer (statuette), awarded in recognition of glutinous ubiquity in media
- The Blue Mini (Order Pour le Petit Merit) awarded for meritorious accomplishment in the face of overwhelming lack of accomplishment.
- The Iron Double-Cross, First Class, awarded for notable foreign policy achievement in Eastern Europe
- The Most Illustrious Order of the Gold Fleecing, granted in recognition of Supreme Acts of Valor against personal wealth, financial independence, bond portfolios and 401K accounts.
